Polo Day Photos

Thank you to all our lions who wore their polo on Friday!  Polos are an important part of our school community.  The PTA provides a polo for every student and staff member so they may participate in our spirit days and be prepared for field trips.  Please mark your calendars for the next polo day so every child participates on Friday, October 2.  If your child needs a new polo, email our PTA at lemonroadpta@gmail.com

Speaking of the PTA - our PTA Armchair Fundraiser reached $6000 and we celebrated with a dance party on Thursday!  We are close to hitting the next school-wide celebration of a popsicle party when we raise $8000.  If you haven't contributed, please do - any amount helps us reach our goals!

On Friday, all classes acknowledged the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance.  Several grades participated in a Zoom call with the National Museum of the Marine Corps.  As a part of the program, the classes listened to a read aloud of the book Branches of Hope:  The 9/11 Survivor Tree.

This week, we look forward to a SCA Officer Candidate Interest Meeting tomorrow with Ms. Gray & Ms. Hagy, finishing up beginning of year testing (MAP and iReady), Back to School Night on Thursday evening, and a Summer Activity Board Celebration Friday for over 100 lions that turned in their hard work from the summer!  Finally, our kindergarten - second grade soccer teams have their first practices & games this week.  Saturday will be a lot of fun for all participating families!

Early Release Wednesdays - Action Required

FCPS provides elementary school staff with additional time because our teachers do not have equal paid planning or collaboration time as middle and high school colleagues. Families complete their forms electronically through Parent Vue (https://bit.ly/3RZepAK) or by downloading the paper forms, (https://bit.ly/4gd8Rfj) from the FCPS website and returning them to the school office.  If your child is able to go home or to their aftercare location, please email Ms. Argodale at jhargodale@fcps.edu.

Follow the steps to complete the Early Release Wednesday Survey:

Step 1: Log into FCPS ParentVUE
