Dan Sullivan tried to paint Mary Peltola as a do-nothing lawmaker, while Peltola attacked Sullivan for backing a war that has dramatically raised fuel and other costs for fishermen.
If passed, Ballot Measure 2 would delete a newly amended state law specifically limiting contributions to joint campaigns for governor and lieutenant governor.
In the lead-up to the Aug. 18 primary, candidates who indicated they would join a bipartisan coalition brought in nearly double the political contributions as candidates aligned with the Republican minority.
