On Friday, the price of the Pro plan in my Hardware Academy goes from $697 to $997 a quarter. Premium goes from $997 to $1,497.
Pro and Premium are the two plans with private engineering support, where our engineers work with you one on one, on your whole product, under NDA, from your first design decisions through manufacturing.
So join this week and you keep the current price for as long as you stay a member.
The reason for the increase is the amount of engineer time those plans take. When one of our engineers spends an afternoon working through your schematic, that afternoon goes to you alone.
And the manufacturing readiness review has grown to 183 checks on top of that.
Standard isn't changing. It's still $147 a month, and you get help from our engineers and product experts inside the community, in threads other members can see.
Pro costs about $85 a month more than Standard this week. For that, an engineer works with you on your product in a private area of the Academy, where no other member can see what you share.
Yeah, I know that's underpriced for getting private engineering support, and that's why the price is going up Friday.
In the private area you share everything: the concept, the schematic, your target price, and the business side. The engineers reading it are under NDA, so you hold nothing back, including anything you might patent someday, and the help you get is about your actual product.
That starts on day one with the decisions you can't easily undo later, like your wireless approach or which microcontroller everything gets built around.
And when your design is ready, the manufacturing readiness review happens with engineers who already know your product. First we guide you through fixing the obvious problems, then one engineer runs the full checklist, and then we help you fix whatever it finds.
Pro is private engineering support for one product at a time, plus one manufacturing readiness review a year. It's $697 a quarter this week and $997 after Friday.
Premium includes everything in Pro, with support for multiple products at the same time and a manufacturing readiness review every quarter instead of once a year. It's $997 a quarter this week and $1,497 after Friday.
So over a year, this week's price is $1,200 less than the new price on Pro and $2,000 less on Premium, and that gap stays every year you're a member.
