It's Tuesday. September 22nd.
Everyone asks the same question and nobody answers it honestly, so here it is: how long until this feels different?
Nine days. That's the point where people stop describing it as something they're trying and start describing it as something they do. Not thirty. Not ninety. Nine.
It's not motivation arriving. It's that after nine days the evidence is loud enough to argue with the story in your head. You can't easily say 'I never follow through' at a nine-day streak. The streak is right there, disagreeing with you.
Nine days from today is October 1st. That's the same week you'd otherwise spend telling yourself October is where it turns around.
You have almost certainly done nine consecutive days of something before, by accident, and not noticed. The only difference here is that it gets counted - which is the part that makes it argue back when you tell yourself you never follow through.
85% off — nine days from now.
