Once a year, we leave the world above behind.

We cross into our realm, beyond the noise, expectations and distractions of everyday life. A place where we surrender to the music, follow our instinct and reconnect with what unites us.

Next year, we go deeper. From the surface to the essence. To discover what drives us, unleash our true core and create what comes next.

Go deeper. Rise from within.

The Defqon.1 2027 anthem, The Deepening, will premiere during The Release next year.

Four names have already claimed their place in our next chapter.

Rebelion will open The Gathering in the BLUE, marking the start of our four days together. And that might not be the only place you’ll find our Anthem Creators during the weekend. Keep your eyes on The Release.

After the events of last summer, Outsiders and Brennan Heart will get their moment in 2027. Both artists will return to the roles they spent months preparing for: Outsiders will lead The Opening Ceremony on Friday at 13:00, while Brennan Heart will close the night on the RED with The Spotlight.

And Testarossa, our RED Race season 2 winner, will finally take his place on the RED in 2027.

Across the Holy Grounds, we’ll build on the musical direction set for 2026 and take it further. Expect more room for melodies and the foundations of hardstyle, alongside new sounds, unexpected crossovers, pioneers and the next generation.

The full line-up will be unveiled during The Release next year.
