SPEAKING DRIVES BUSINESS...OR IS THE BUSINESS
Dear ala,
The line between “employee” and “entrepreneur” is getting fuzzier and fuzzier.
These days, you can have a full-time job, consult on the side, freelance, speak, teach a course, write a book or run a small business.
Experienced professionals increasingly have the option to turn what they know into additional income. Speaking can be that income—or help generate it. Many of our members use speaking to build visibility, credibility and connect with customers.
For others, speaking is The Job...or part of The Job. They keynote, train, facilitate, teach and emcee.
And increasingly, it’s not either/or. You can be a consultant who speaks, an executive who teaches, an author who keynotes or a professional speaker who also consults.
There isn't one speaker business model.
As you’ll see from this month’s Speakers in Action, our members are proving it every day.
