The world can feel like a lot to keep up with. So start close to home.
Some of the stories that matter most are unfolding just outside your front door. Whether those come from conversations happening in city hall, changes in local schools, twists in your commute, or breaking news from your community – when you listen, watch or read NPR, you’ll get the big picture, and your place in it.
With the NPR app, you can bring your community into the mix. You’ll not only get handpicked NPR stories based on what you like, but livestreams of your local station, targeted newsletters with local headlines, stories from your region, and podcasts made closer to home.
And here’s the best part: going local makes a difference. Your local NPR station is a nonprofit news organization serving your community. When you listen and engage with its work, you’re supporting the journalism that helps keep your community informed and connected.
Because the biggest story in the world can look very different where you live.
