Taipei, Taiwan, October 7, 2026 –QNAP® Systems, Inc., a leading innovator in storage, networking, and data protection solutions, today announced the [2] QSW-M7230P-2X4F24T, an L3 Lite managed 100GbE PoE switch designed for mid-sized and large enterprises running high-performance storage, virtualization, and AI workloads. With two 100GbE (QSFP28), four 25GbE (SFP28), and twenty-four 10GbE (RJ45) 802.3bt PoE ports, the switch combines a 100G backbone, 25G server and NAS connectivity, high-density 10G access, and high-power PoE in a single 1U chassis.
All twenty-four 10GbE RJ45 ports are IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ capable, delivering up to 90 W per port from an 800 W power budget. Wi-Fi 7 access points, AV over IP encoders and decoders, and PTZ cameras draw power and 10G connectivity from the same switch, with no separate injectors or power runs.
“Combining 100GbE, L3 Lite routing, and high-power PoE in one device has traditionally carried a steep price tag,” said Ruby Chan, Product Manager at QNAP. “The QSW-M7230P-2X4F24T fits 100G/25G/10G and 802.3bt PoE into 1U, so larger organizations can build a high-speed core that scales — without trading off performance, headroom, or cost.”
Key Features of the QSW-M7230P-2X4F24T
3-speed all-in-one deployment:Spans Core, Aggregation, and Access layers with 100GbE core/server uplinks, 25GbE NAS aggregation (backward compatible with 10G/1G), and 24-port 10GbE workstation access. Connecting two switches via 100GbE scales up to 48 x 10GbE workstations and 8 x 25GbE NAS devices.
1080 Gbps switching capacity:Wire-speed forwarding and low, stable latency under load — headroom for heavy server and NAS traffic in multi-user collaboration and AI workflows.
90 W PoE++ with an 800 W budget:Every 10GbE RJ45 port supports 802.3bt PoE++. QSS Pro adds live wattage monitoring, power priority, and remote PoE reboot for flexible power allocation.
L3 Lite routing and MC-LAG:IPv4/IPv6, static routing, DHCP, and advanced VLAN, with Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation (MC-LAG) and LACP to eliminate single points of failure and keep critical services online.
Precise AV over IP Sync:IGMP Snooping, VLAN, and a high-precision clock design with PTP Boundary Clock support keep audio and video in sync across video walls, broadcast production, performance venues, and command centers.
Proactive LAN security and isolated backup:Works with NAS-based [3] ADRA NDR Xto detect and isolate ransomware threats before they spread, while enabling [4] Airgap+offline backups for robust enterprise data protection.
