Tony sent me a one-line reply yesterday: "So, we need to go out and literally talk to the business owners in person?" No. And if Tony thinks that, I've done a lousy job explaining this. Let me fix it before the early bird ends tonight. You don't walk into anybody's shop. You don't hand out business cards or stand at a counter waiting for the owner to come out of the back. (That's door-knocking, and door-knocking is just cold calling with worse parking.) The "secret shop" happens virtually. From your house, on your laptop or your phone. The business never sees your face. Once you've found the problem and you've got your proof, you reach out with a message. I do a lot of mine with simple messages on social media. The ones I use are in there for you, so you're not writing anything from scratch. Do I ever pick up the phone? Sometimes. But by then the owner has already seen what I found, so it's a warm call. It's hard to hang up on the person who just showed you a problem in your own business. And remember the twist I keep teasing. The owner gets to see the fix for himself, on his own time, with nobody pitching him. That's why this works for people who would rather eat glass than sell. So if you've been picturing yourself driving around town in a collared shirt, you can let that go. Picture your kitchen table. This is a from-home, spare-time business, and I built it for people who don't like selling. Today is the last day of the early bird. It's $21 until midnight EST tonight, and then the price goes up. |
