 Cavalier Activities
Weekly Activities Overview
Good Afternoon Cavaliers. Below is the Weekly Activities schedule for the week. Good luck to cheer as they go to Day 1 of District Cheer tomorrow and Field Hockey begins District Playoffs on Wednesday. Teams will begin concluding seasons and we will begin posting information on post season banquets.
 Varsity Football Game Procedures
There will be new procedures for Varsity Football Home Games this fall. We will continue using the OpenGate weapons detectors at our gates prior to purchasing your tickets for entry. There will be Weapons Detectors at both the Main Gate and at the Frost Gate. Gates for entry for football will open at 6:00 PM.
After Halftime, tickets will be closed. Once this happens, there will be no more entry into the game for students. Adults will be allowed entry once that happens.
Below is the county guidance for what is allowed into the game. Please understand that no outside food and drink will be allowed into the game, as clearly stated on the FCPS signage below.
I would expect to have the same conditions as you travel to away varsity football games.
 Winter Sports Physicals and Registration
We are beginning to get physicals turned in for winter sports and students are going through the registration process. We are requesting that physicals be uploaded through the program Final Forms. You will also register for sports this way as well. You will have the link for Final Forms in the email that is linked to your ParentVue account. Search for Final Forms in that account and that will give you the link to Final Forms. It can be done via computer or on your phone.
Updating our Website
Our website is still at Woodsonsports.com. We are having difficulties with the section that has the upcoming events being completely accurate as the site missing games and it is beyond our control right now. If you go down on the page to Cavalier News. There is a post with a one-pager with the most current schedules you can print out.
Fall Programs
Fall programs are being produced and are available for presale. Use the QR code below to pre order your program for $11.
 Clubs and Activities
We have over 100 different clubs with a wide range of interests, so hopefully there is something that interests everyone. We have moved over to a new calendar tool and have been working on getting it updated with our club meeting schedule. It is still in the process of having activities added to it, but you can access it here: Club Calendar. Most clubs will meet after school 3:00-4:00 PM. A majority will fall on Wednesday afternoons as that is when Woodson offers late buses. Here is a link that lists all of our clubs with current sponsor information: Current Clubs & Organizations | Carter G. Woodson High School
