r, Getting Words to Work®\n\nInternal audit reports continue to be the
most common way to communicate final engagement results. However, the
Standards have never mandated reports as the medium. The 2024 Global
Internal Audit Standards (GIAS) and The 2025 Global Practice Guide on
Final Engagement Communications make clear that internal auditors must
focus on effective communication throughout engagements to deliver va
lue to clients.\n\nThis session will touch on enduring principles of e
ffective communication, significant points arising from the GIAS and t
he Global Practice Guide, and the growing use of LLMs.\n\nThis session
is led by Sara I. James, who is an internal auditor and a professiona
l freelance writer and editor. She was the copyeditor of the GIAS and
was part of the working group for the Final Engagement Communications
Global Practice Guide.\n\nKey learning objectives for this session:\n
 - Understand the principles of critical thinking and plain language, a
nd how they relate to internal audit communications.\n - Refresh the G
IAS and Final Engagement Communications Global Practice Guide content
to comply with IIA Global expectations.\n - Evaluate the pros and cons
of LLMs in drafting internal audit communications.\n\n * CPE: This
is a webinar recording. Credits are not offered for on-demand viewing
