The 60-minute film is a narrative related by the women who have joined forces with Dior's creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri (the house’s first female creative director) since her arrival in 2016. The documentary also highlights Chiuri’s commitment to promoting art and letting it unfold through female plurality. Leading figures of the international art scene, including Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (whose essay “We Should All Be Feminists” inspired Dior’s statement T-shirt, an emblematic piece in Chiuri’s first collection), Tomaso Binga, Robin Morgan, Penny Slinger, Judy Chicago, Fulvia Carnevale, Mickalene Thomas and Brigitte Lacombe – all of whom talk about the powerful bonds and unforgettable moments they forged with Chiuri through their collective projects. Season after season, these painters, visual artists, photographers, performers and writers have accompanied and sublimated her collections with their visions, their values and their messages, while their dialogues have provided paradigms for expression and enhanced Dior’s silhouettes. In the company of curators and historians with whom she collaborates and regularly exchanges ideas, Chiuri also retraces her creative odyssey, back to her beloved native city Rome, and showcases the creative strength of women. Throughout the film, archives and sources of inspiration are revealed along with intimate, profound discussions and emotion-filled scenes of which the subject can be summed up in a single word: sisterhood. The documentary is available to view now on YouTube. ![]() ![]() ![]() Source: Loro Piana Loro Piana celebrates 100 years with an archival pop-up at South Coast Plaza Loro Piana, the Italian luxury fashion house known for its cashmere, vicuña, and merino wool fabrics and quiet luxury clothing and accessories, is celebrating it’s 100th anniversary with a pop-up at South Coast Plaza. The 100th anniversary pop-up exhibit in the Jewel Court commemorates the brand’s centennial milestone with a glimpse into its extensive archives, where visitors can trace the evolution of the brand’s heritage through a century of craftsmanship. Natural oak bookcases lined with green fabric-covered folders represent the historical archives, while lacquered figurines carefully monitor the shelves. Together with vintage photographs, campaigns and iconic house signatures – including its signature Baby Cashmere and rare Vicuña fiber – the installation tells a story of obsession with perfection. Founded in the northern Piedmont region of Italy, where the Loro Piana family established themselves as wool merchants, Pietro Loro Piana opened his first textile mill in 1924 and quickly gained a reputation for exquisite textiles. By the 1940s, Loro Piana had made a name for itself as the preeminent supplier for the high fashion industry in Italy and abroad. In the 1970s, the company expanded into refined ready-to-wear and was more recently acquired by LVMH in 2013. Loro Piana has become synonymous with quiet luxury and stealth wealth thanks to cameos in HBO’s Succession and the rise of social media personalities such as The Gstaad Guy. The Loro Piana 100 Years Pop-Up is open now through March 24. ![]() Source: La Quinta Resort & Club La Quinta Resort & Club completes a site-wide renovation ahead of its centennial celebration La Quinta Resort & Club, the iconic desert destination, has completed a transformative resort-wide renovation ushering in a new era of luxury for future generations. Composed of three and four shoe styles, respectively, the twin capsules splice the genetics of the two houses. The collection was created by John Galliano and Christian Louboutin, who have known each other since the beginning of their careers. The Maison Margiela by Christian Louboutin collection reimagines the Maison’s signature, split toe Tabi through the curvaceous and feminine language of Christian Louboutin and the designer’s signature red sole. The Bridiela Una Strass is a pump constructed on a new last and set on a classic Christian Louboutin 100mm heel. The Loubiella is a sandal based on Christian Louboutin’s Rosalie silhouette and set on a 100mm stiletto, and the Marlougiela is a ballerina sleekly elongated and narrowed in shape. The Christian Louboutin by Maison Margiela collection re-frames the seductive silhouettes of Christian Louboutin through the inverted and subversive lens of the Maison. The Bilougiela 25 is an elongated, pointed ankle-strap sandal based on Christian Louboutin’s Kate Max last and set on a 100mm heel. The Martinloula is a pointed pump likewise crafted from the Kate Max last and imbued with the curvaceous faux-cul heel cap, first created by Christian Louboutin for the Maison Margiela 2024 Artisanal Collection. The Xrismarteen expands the Martinloula into a knee-length boot set on a 100mm heel, and the Martoubi 25 is a new pointed, elongated pump set on a 100mm heel. Executed in white leather, the heel cap is daubed in a spontaneous red brushstroke. The twin capsule collections are available now in selected boutiques worldwide and on the digital platforms of both houses. ![]() Source: Marni Marni and Hoka unveil the co-designed Bondi B3LS sneaker Italian luxury fashion brand Marni and California-based sportswear company Hoka have revealed their co-designed Bondi B3LS sneaker collection, set to launch in April.
