Rep. Raúl M. Grijalva, D-Ariz., has died from "complications of his cancer treatment," his office announced in a statement.

Grijalva, who held top posts on the House Natural Resources Committee and in the Congressional Progressive Caucus, was first elected to Congress in 2002. He is the second House Democrat to die in office this month.
