Dear Brookfield Community,

Happy Pi Day! Today, we celebrate the infinite wonder of π (pi), that magical number that goes on and on, like the delicious possibilities of a perfectly circular pie! 3.14159... and beyond! It's a day for math lovers and anyone who appreciates a little bit of numerical mystery.

Speaking of exciting adventures, our amazing 4th graders were up bright and early this morning, buzzing with anticipation, and hopped on the bus to Jamestown! This incredible field trip is a cornerstone of their learning journey, bringing history to life and creating memories that will last a lifetime. We know they're immersing themselves in the past and experiencing firsthand the stories they've been learning about.

A quick reminder that next Monday, March 17, is an early release day. Students will be dismissed three hours early, so please plan accordingly.

And get ready to be amazed! Our fantastic PTA is hosting the annual Science Fair next Thursday, March 20! We've heard whispers of some truly spectacular science displays, and we can't wait to see the creativity our students bring to the table. Mark your calendars for an evening of discovery and fun!

We hope you all have a wonderful weekend filled with sunshine and perhaps a slice of your favorite pie! Enjoy the beautiful weather.

Warmly,

Lesley Hassen, Principal

Margaret Sisler, Assistant Principal

This week, Ms. Williams' students took a hands-on approach to learning about electricity and magnetism! They built simple electromagnets using wire, batteries, and iron objects, investigating what affects their strength. Through this engaging experience, they gained a deeper understanding of how electricity moves, transforms, and powers our world.
