Dear Fairview Families,
We are always so grateful for another week here at Fairview learning alongside our students! Some exciting news! We will be hosting another Book Fair in our Library starting on Friday, March 21, 2025 with our "Book Fair Family Night"! The Spring Book Fair is a fantastic opportunity for our Falcons to discover new books and foster a love of reading.
Check out our social media pages to learn about the exciting events happening this week! Our third-grade students participated in their very own Olympics, where they practiced Olympic sports and supported each other in friendly competition. They even had the opportunity to take part in a panel discussion with real Olympic athletes! We love seeing our Falcons engage in their learning through fun and creative experiences!
Have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Samantha Goldstein

March 17, 2025 - 3 Hour Early Release at 12:55PM!
For the upcoming 3-hour early release on Monday, March 17, your child will be dismissed using the indicated dismissal route in PickUp Patrol. If your child stayed on February 24th for the early release, we have defaulted their plan to stay again for this early release unless you notified us otherwise (this includes students going to SACC).
We will be sending your child at 12:55 via whatever is indicated in PickUp Patrol. If your child needs to stay until 3:55, it should be reflected in PickUp Patrol already as we have entered it on your behalf. If you need to request a change to have your child stay until 3:55, or leave at 12:55pm, please contact FairviewESCommunications@fcps.edu. PickUp Patrol will be locked for changes from Friday, March 14th at 4:15pm until Monday, March 17th, at 4:15pm.
Thank you for your cooperation. The final two Early Release dates are April 28th and May 19th.

Mrs. Lee's 1st graders and Mr. Stebbins 5th Graders got together for reading buddies this week! We love when our Falcons share their love of reading with one another!
We wanted to send a heartfelt thank you to the Fairview PTA for the delicious pies they provided for Pi Day. It was a lovely and much-needed treat, and we all enjoyed them immensely. Thank you for your continued support and for always finding creative ways to show your appreciation for our teachers.

FCPS Budget — Our Students Deserve the Best
More than $240 million of FCPS’ Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Advertised Budget is dedicated to increasing compensation for our teachers and staff to stay competitive and reduce turnover. Currently, FCPS ranks fifth out of eight neighboring districts in regards to starting salary for teachers with a master’s degree.
Our families expect — and our students deserve — the best teachers.
Next Steps in the Budget Process
The next steps in the FCPS FY 2026 Budget process include the School Board presenting the budget to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, April 22, and then the Board of Supervisors will conduct public hearings Tuesday, April 22, through Thursday, April 24. Community members can submit testimony or sign up to speak.
Visit the county government website to view the Fairfax County FY 2026 Advertised Budget. The community is also invited to complete an online survey to provide feedback on the county’s FY 2026 Advertised Budget.
