Principal's Message

Dear Eagle View Families,

It has been a fun and exciting week of learning at Eagle View! Our students continue to engage in meaningful experiences that spark curiosity and growth.

We are excited to announce that, moving forward, our classroom teachers will use the Eagle View Assessment Report to share common assessment results. This uniform system, adopted across all grade levels, was developed collaboratively by our core group of teacher leaders and successfully piloted. The Eagle View Assessment Report aims to ensure clear, consistent, and efficient communication about student learning, particularly regarding division-wide math common assessments. This approach will help families stay well-informed about their child’s progress and next steps.

Looking ahead, we invite you to join us for Coffee with the Principal on Tuesday, March 19th at 8:30 AM, where we will discuss The Power of Our Words. This important conversation will explore how language shapes relationships, builds community, and creates a welcoming environment for all. In alignment with this topic, we will also hold student assemblies on March 24th to help our students understand the impact of their words, the difference between intent and impact, and the importance of being an upstander.

Lastly, we are thrilled to announce our very first HOUSE BINGO Night on Thursday, March 20th, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM! This exciting event, a collaboration between our House Committee and PTA, will be a fantastic opportunity for families and staff to connect while having fun together. We hope to see you there!

Thank you for your continued partnership in making Eagle View a wonderful place for our students to learn and grow.

Sincerely,

KJ An

Principal

FCPS Budget — Our Students Deserve the Best

Budget Banner

More than $240 million of FCPS’ Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Advertised Budget is dedicated to increasing compensation for our teachers and staff to stay competitive and reduce turnover. Currently, FCPS ranks fifth out of eight neighboring districts in regards to starting salary for teachers with a master’s degree.

Our families expect — and our students deserve — the best teachers.

Next Steps in the Budget Process

The next steps in the FCPS FY 2026 Budget process include the School Board presenting the budget to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, April 22, and then the Board of Supervisors will conduct public hearings Tuesday, April 22, through Thursday, April 24. Community members can submit testimony or sign up to speak

Visit the county government website to view the Fairfax County FY 2026 Advertised Budget. The community is also invited to complete an online survey to provide feedback on the county’s FY 2026 Advertised Budget.
