Thank you to all our families for helping make our March early release a success!

This week, our Kindergartners had an exciting field trip to the National Children's Museum, our Get2Green team worked hard to clean up and prep our outdoor courtyard for spring, and our 2nd graders celebrated the 120th day of school!

Looking ahead, mark your calendars for RVES STEAM Night on March 18th from 5:30-7:30 PM and Ballin' with Buddies at West Springfield High School on Saturday, March 22nd. Be sure to check the newsletter for more details on these exciting events.

Third Grade Hands-On Math Exploration

Our third graders recently engaged in an exciting hands-on learning experience, rotating through different classrooms to explore measurement concepts in action! Students worked with various measuring tools to determine capacity, length, and weight, applying their skills in real-world scenarios. This interactive approach helped deepen their understanding and made learning math both fun and meaningful!

RVES - STEAM NIGHT

Come explore, create, and innovate at our upcoming STEAM Night on March 18 from 5:30-7:30 PM! Experience hands-on activities at a variety of stations, including coding robots, tackling exciting building challenges, creating unique art, and much more. This is a fantastic opportunity for students and families to engage in science, technology, engineering, art, and math in a fun and interactive way.

Plus, we’ll have two food trucks on site, so you can purchase a bite to eat while enjoying the event. We can't wait to see you there!

FCPS Principal Evaluation

We Want Your Feedback! Principal Evaluation Parent/Guardian Questionnaire

On Monday, March 24, parents and guardians of Rolling Valley will receive an email with a link to the FCPS Principal Evaluation Parent/Guardian Feedback Form. This questionnaire is part of the Performance Evaluation Program and provides an opportunity to share anonymous feedback about our school’s leadership and environment.

Topics covered in the survey include:

✅ Instructional leadership

✅ School climate

✅ Management (human resources and organizational)

✅ Communication and community relations

✅ Culturally responsive and equitable leadership

✅ Professionalism

The questionnaire will be open March 24 – April 4 and will be collected online. Keep an eye out for an email from FCPSSurvey@fcps.edu and take a few minutes to complete it.
