Dear Thoreau Families,

This past week we celebrated our amazing Assistant Principals and Director of Student Services. Thank you Ms. Feiertag, Ms. Ritchey, Mr. Staton and Ms. Aguilar- your dedication and hard work are felt by our community every day!

Spring Break is finally here, and we want our students to have the opportunity to catch a breath from schoolwork and to enjoy time with friends and family. We also want our teachers to decompress and put their lesson plan books and laptops away for a few days to enjoy time with their friends and family. Our goal is to have students and teachers return to school rested and without the pressure of looming deadlines. While teachers may have long-term assignments that span over the course of a break, I have shared with the staff to not assign homework, projects, essays, etc. to be specifically done over the break. Enjoy your family time next week!

The school office will be closed next week during spring break. We look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday, April 21st.
