This message is for users of the PECOS PI and AI applications in the Production environment.
Please be advised that the CMS PECOS PI and AI applications in the Production (PROD) environment will not be available beginning at 09:00 AM EDT to 12:00 PM EDT on Saturday, 04/19/2025, due to the R7.53.1 code deployment.
The following PECOS AI enhancements are included in this release:
- Currently, when a CAH adds a PA in reassignment section the system will throw an error "Physician Assistant cannot reassign or receive benefits". This CR is to remove this message and allow reassignments from a PA on a CAH enrollment.
- PECOS will allow CAH applications to accept reassignments from Physician assistants in PECOS AI.
- The existing Required EER message “Missing current FAIR.” will become Recommended for all enrollments.
- For existing enrollments with a previously finalized FAIR code, if the FAIR Code is end-dated or deleted (super user only), the EER message will remain Recommended, and the MAC will not be required to add a new one.
The following PECOS defect fixes are included in this release:
- Fixed an issue where the match code and confidence values returned from the REST API did not match the database values and SDK.
- Fixed an issue where the PDF title for the PROD R7.53 release note was incorrectly displayed as R7.40 instead of R7.53.
- Fixed an issue where the “View/Manage Reassignments” options were incorrectly shown and allowed reassignment applications to be started for 855I - PAs in PI.
- Fixed an issue where old TIN and ADP data were retained upon saving new data in the Organizational Control Section of the 855A SNF form in PI.
- Fixed an issue where Geo Codes and UAM_FLAG_CD were displaying NULL values in the database for Early Site Visits.
- Fixed an issue where the “Edit” and “Edit Associate Profile” links were disabled after adding a PA into the reassignment section in AI.
- Fixed an issue where the Zip Code was not saved and displayed a null value for Exact Matches in all Address tables in PI.
- Fixed an issue where the incorrect UAM_FLAG_CD “09” was used for PO BOX instead of “05” in Address tables.
- Fixed an issue where the incorrect UAM_FLG_CD “07” was used instead of “01” for 855B forms.
- Fixed an issue where the role “Individual is an Owner, Partner or Trustee of any ADP of the SNF” was not removed from the Summary table when the user end-dated the sub role and kept the Chain Administrator.
- Fixed an issue where PECOS populated the end date of historic CBSA codes as the same as the effective date of the corresponding CBSA code when manually added, instead of one day prior to the effective date if an end date was not populated by the user.
