The NDP has released a platform with measures that would provide every Canadian with a family doctor, seek cross-Canada rent control, and impose a wealth tax while adding $48-billion to the deficit over four years

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh announced his party’s costed platform – a mix of new and previously announced commitments – in Burnaby, B.C., on Saturday, shortly after the federal Liberals released their program.

“I am proud to share with you our campaign commitments. They are clear and bold and focused on the people who build this country, not rich CEOs,” Mr. Singh said in a campaign speech.
