The Education Consortium cordially invites you to "Get to Know JAN and EARN" on May 20th at 1 PM EST.
The Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) envisions a world where people with disabilities have unlimited employment opportunities. ODEP works closely with employers and all levels of government to increase workplace success for people with disabilities. But how does ODEP meet its mission to develop and influence policies and practices that expand employment opportunities for people with disabilities?
One key strategy is to ensure that employers have access to practical, high-quality resources and support. To achieve this, ODEP funds technical assistance centers that help enhance employer knowledge and skills for recruiting, hiring, retaining, and advancing people with disabilities - including guidance on workplace accommodation.
During this session, you will learn more about:
- The Job Accommodation Network (JAN): The leading source of free, expert, and confidential guidance on job accommodation and disability employment issues.
- The Employer Assistance and Resource Network on Disability (EARN): A resource that provides information and tools to help employers recruit, hire, retain, and advance qualified people with disabilities.
