Tucked away from busy Main Street West is a growing community. It a community of homeless people.  Despite the city's effort to keep under control, it’s a constant battle, one that’s been happening for years.

North Bay Police lay charges after dog attack

Two people have been charged under the Dog Owners Liability Act following a dog attack on April 29. North Bay Police Service was contacted in relation to a dog attack in the 1200 block of Algonquin Avenue.

North Bay Police arrest 20-year-old in stabbing incident

 A 20-year-old North Bay man has been charged as a result of a stabbing incident that happened on Manitou Street on May 1.  He was charged with assault with a weapon, aggravated assault and uttering threats.

The effort to repair the Trout Creek Community Centre continues

Plans are underway to repair the Trout Creek Community Centre, and a group made a presentation to Powassan council earlier his week.

The North Bay Canoe Club has its new coach for the 2025 season

Hometown paddler Justin Rancourt returns to lead North Bay Canoe Club as its new coach.  Rancourt was a star paddler in North Bay and plans on passing that skill set and experience on to a new generation.
