ABCs of Fish ID

Wednesday, May 21, 2025, 6-9 p.m.
Texas Scuba Adventures, Galveston, TX

Looking for a way to enhance your dive experience? Learn how to identify different fish families and species common to Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary. As an added bonus, we’ll share information on fish survey techniques that you can use on any dive, anywhere.

Make your diving even more enjoyable and make it count at the same time!

The class is free, but registration is required as space is limited. Please email flowergarden@noaa.gov to register.

Species List

This is the place to discover what species live in, on, or above sanctuary waters. Not all of these species are found at all of the banks or at all depths. Most of the photos come from the sunlit zones nearer the surface, but we will continue to expand our offerings. The more we explore, the more we have to offer!
