What's the latest: Missile strikes are entering their seventh day and the question overnight has been whether or not the US would join them. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned last night of "irreparable harm" if that happened.

'I may do it. I may not do it': That's Donald Trump's take on the prospects for US military action, adding that he likes to make "a final decision one second before". He also said Iran was seeking a meeting with him at the White House.

'Weeks away': Trump also said Iran was that close to having a nuclear weapon before these strikes began. (Such claims have made the Fordow enrichment facility a potential target, requiring US help.) Appearing last night on 7.30, Iran's ambassador to Australia was asked, repeatedly, about Iran's nuclear ambitions — watch his response ▶️. 

Life on the ground: There's now reportedly a "near-total" internet blackout in Iran, while in Israel there are restrictions on public gatherings, travel and which businesses can open. Our correspondent Eric Tlozek has told the ABC News Daily podcast that while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remains unpopular, Israelis seem to believe this action is necessary
