President Donald Trump’s trade agenda faces an inflection point this fall, with the Supreme Court set to hear arguments on the legality of his steep tariff hikes on dozens of countries. If the tariffs are overturned, it would upend ongoing negotiations the administration is conducting with a number of trading partners, including Britain, where Trump is traveling this week.
Trade is expected to be one of a handful of topics the president will cover when he meets with Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who is eager to finalize the details on lowering U.S. steel and aluminum tariffs, per a deal Washington and London inked earlier this year.
