Shell, RML test coolant to reduce EV charging time

Shell and RML Group are testing a coolant on a 34-kilowatt-hour battery that could reduce the time needed for an electric-vehicle battery to be charged from 10% to 80% to less than 10 minutes. The "gas-to-liquid" thermal fluid is designed to flow between battery modules, as opposed to traditional exterior cooling circuits, enabling better heat dissipation.
