Recession Risks Are Rising

These side gigs survive downturns

Recession chances are climbing. UBS, a global financial services firm, recently reported that the chances of a recession have increased to a 93% probability, based on hard data. While the investment firm isn’t yet forecasting a recession, UBS called the risk level "historically worrying."

A recession happens when there is a sustained decline in economic activity, typically over two or more quarters. This is often marked by a reduction in GDP, reduced consumer spending and rising unemployment.

There are some jobs that will always need to be done, no matter the state of the economy. So we put together a list of recession-proof side gigs that will help you weather a potential economic storm.
