The Arlington County Fire Department will hold open house hours at all local firehouses on Oct. 11. Come meet fire and EMS responders and participate in fire safety activities.

The 2025 Arlington Restaurant Week is back. Starting on Monday, Oct. 13, diners will enjoy some of the best food the area has to offer at special prices. Arlington Restaurant Week participants include everything from fast-casual spots to five-star dining establishments.
Step Back into History
You don't need a flux capacitor to time travel in Arlington. Visit the Fall Heritage Festival on Oct. 11 and try your hand at old-time activities like churning butter and dipping candles. The event is free, but registration is encouraged.

Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) will be used to elect the next County Board member. Join an Oct. 13 workshop hosted by Challenging Racism, a local nonpartisan non-profit, to learn more about how RCV works, what the ballot looks like, and how to successfully cast your vote.

- The County is accepting grant applications for proposals to support outreach in the Green Valley Neighborhood. Grant sizes vary by project.

 Arlington dogs are getting in on the fun this Spooky Season. There are TWO Howl-o-ween costume contests coming up. There will be one in Metropolitan Park on Oct. 21 and another in Gateway Park on Oct. 24. Whichever you attend, make sure your pup is dressed to impress ... the judges.
