Roadrunner Roundup
Dear Roadrunner Families,
We hope this message finds you well as we celebrate the first full week of October and enjoy that fantastic cooler weather that finally makes it feel like fall!
This week brought a wonderful community event: our Walk & Bike to School Day on October 8th. Despite some cloudy weather, we were so happy to see so many students and families show up and participate by walking or biking to school. Every student received a bracelet. A massive thank you goes out to our teacher leaders of the EcoAmbassadors, Ms. Anderson & Ms. Burley, all the dedicated parent volunteers who helped make the day possible, and, of course, our amazing EcoAmbassador students for their help with the event!
Since the school year has officially gotten underway, we want to remind all families to take a moment to review our Little Run Family Handbook (ENGLISH | SPANISH). Each family receieved a hard copy at the beginning of the year. This handbook contains important information about school policies, procedures, and expectations that are essential for a safe and successful year for all students.
As we look ahead, please remember we have several calendar adjustments over the next few weeks, so be sure to review the important dates above to stay in the loop!
October 29 will be a 3-Hour Early Release day with dismissal at 12:15 PM. We will be dismissing students based on the dismissal plans we used for our first 3-Hour Early Release. Please be on the lookout for your child’s specific dismissal plan, which will be sent out via TalkingPoints next week.
We look forward to a fantastic week ahead.
Sincerely, Christie Yarn, Principal Alison Butler, Assistant Principal
