PEACE GARDEN UPDATE

Please help!

Ms. Wilson is leading the garden preparation for the Peace Garden. We need your help! If you are willing to give a little bit of time helping to find materials, please reach out to Ms. Wilson right away at pswilson@fcps.edu. We are planning to prep the area on October 30 after school. Even if you can’t attend this, we need your help calling, searching Facebook Marketplace, etc. to find good prices on what we need. THANK YOU!

We have a budget, but looking to save where we can. If you have any of these materials around your yard and don’t need them, please consider donating to the garden project:

  • Landscaping fabric (partial rolls welcome)
  • Landscape edging (this is the kind we prefer)
  • Bags of garden dirt or humus (partial bags welcome)
  • Gravel for the pathway (a mix of stone is fine!)

MUSIC NOTES

Next week all general music classes will start the “Using the Language of Music” unit where they learn and practice using music terminology. This is a great time of year for all those spooky, minor songs. Talk about the music you’re listening to with your children. Can they describe what they are hearing?
