Ms. Steinhilber’s Enrichment - Trash Art - is a hit! Students are learning how to reuse items that otherwise would have been discarded to create sculptures and murals. Students will be displaying their art sculptures (like the one above of a crab) and murals throughout the building.

A Message from the Principal

Greetings, Irving Families!

It’s hard to believe we just finished the eighth week of school, and we only have two weeks before the end of the first quarter. As we look to the end of this month, we not only will celebrate students' hard work academically, we will also be celebrating as a school with our Fall Fest. The Fall Fest on Thursday, October 30, is an opportunity for students to participate in games, dance to music provided by a DJ, and/or watch the movie Hocus Pocus with friends and classmates. Tickets are available on MySchoolBucks.com for $5.00, until Wednesday, October 29. Students will receive a snack and drink while at the event. No tickets will be sold on the day of the Fall Fest so that we can ensure we have enough snacks and supplies for the event.

This week students were able to walk through our Open Gate Weapons Detection system during lunches and ask questions. Coming up next week, we will continue to help students practice walking through the detectors and add their backpacks. Parents/Guardians attending the PTA meeting in-person on Tuesday, October 14, will have an opportunity to preview the weapons detection system. To ensure the meeting begins on time (at 6:30 pm), we will open the detection system for preview at 6:10 pm.

Lastly, Friday, October 31, is a 2-hour early dismissal and the end of the 1st quarter. To ensure we maximize the time in class, we will be offering an shortened lunch schedule. Students who are interested in purchasing a lunch, will be able to sign up via this Google Form. The link will also be available for students to sign-up to purchase lunch in the All Students Course in Schoology. Students only need to sign up one time.

Take Care!

Paperless Report Cards

We’re excited to offer you a more convenient option for receiving your child’s report cards: Go Paperless!

By choosing to go paperless, you'll be able to:

  • Access report cards directly in ParentVUE with just a few clicks.

  • Reduce wait time in seeing your child’s report card.

Here's how you can opt-in:

  1. Log into ParentVUE, click on "My Account," and select “Go Paperless.”

  2. All parents/guardians living with the student at the same address must have an active SIS ParentVUE account to opt-in.

  3. Once selected, the “Go Paperless” option will apply to all associated students, no matter their grade level.

  4. If you’ve already opted for paperless for your secondary students, it will automatically apply to any younger siblings at the elementary level too!
