Rocket Day & Bus Driver Appreciation

We had an absolutely fabulous week full of awesome memories!  On Thursday, our Advanced Academics Resource Teacher, Mrs. Talley led our students in Halley’s first ever Rocket Day!  Students had the opportunity to engage in a pretty awesome STEAM project by creating rockets out of household items.  To wrap up the project, students set off the rockets in front of our youngest Hornets on Thursday morning.  It was a sight to behold…and so much fun!  We can’t wait until next year’s Rocket Day!

Our Halley Preschool team ended the week showing appreciation to our area 1 transportation team.  Drivers were surprised with a breakfast buffet of treats and goody bags!  It’s just one way to show how much we appreciate all facets of the FCPS team.  It takes a village!
