From the Principal’s Pen
Dear Laurel Hill Families,
We have many fun and exciting things happening every day at Laurel Hill! Last week, 5th graders from Mrs. Wilds' class celebrated Rocket Day with making and shooting off rockets and a visit from a NASA guest! Check out the video compilation linked above. We will continue to highlight fun activities in our weekly newsletters.
We highly encourage all parents to join the PTA, as they provide many fun events throughout the year. Please click here to see important updates from our PTA. We hope to see you at the PTA sponsored Screen on the Green movie night tomorrow evening!

Families can access meals, mental health sessions, financial and housing assistance, reduced transportation fares, and free county resources. New Volunteering Requirements
Volunteer FCPS All volunteers must be registered in Volunteer FCPS. This includes individuals who volunteer to chaperone on field trips, work at book fairs, after school activities and help out regularly in classrooms, libraries, or cafeterias. Volunteers who work unsupervised with students will also be required to undergo a background check.
ALL Field Trip chaperones are Level 3 volunteers and WILL need a Background Check and Fingerprinting. If you plan to chaperone any time this year, please start this process as soon as possible.
