Visit the Hidden Oaks Nature Center in Annandale to make your own flying squirrel feeding box to take home, and learn how to encourage the squirrels to visit your backyard. Registration is $15 and supplies are $25.
Discover Cain’s Branch Trail (1:30 - 2:30 p.m.)
Hike the Cain's Branch trail and learn about the history of abandoned sites at the Sully Historic Site in Chantilly. Follow trails of forested areas and Cain’s Branch waterway to learn about the life of early inhabitants who made Sully their home. Registration is $10.
Haunted Herndon: Local Ghost Stories (3 - 4 p.m.)

McLean Community Center 50th Anniversary Celebration (5 - 10 p.m.)
Come to the McLean Community Center's big 50th anniversary bash. Dance through the decades with dance instructors and demonstrations on the hour, sip a signature mocktail or cocktail, enjoy fabulous foods, immerse yourself in old-school video games, watch our 50th anniversary video and play trivia.
House of Reptiles (6 and 6:30 p.m.)
Play games, test your courage with a touch table and meet reptiles up close at Ellanor C. Lawrence Park in Chantilly. Calm your nerves by roasting s'mores at a campfire while listening to stories. End the night with a stroll through the darkening autumn woods.
