Principal's Message
Hello Bruin families,
It has been a busy week with athletic events and performing arts concerts. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of everything Bruin Nation! I especially enjoyed getting into the Bruin Spirit at the Girls Field Hockey game on Wednesday night.
It's that time of year when we open the nominations for LBSS Outstanding Employees. The nominations are open to staff, students, families, and the community. So please take a moment and consider whether you would like to nominate one of our staff members. There are 7 categories which are described in the form. We will close nominations on October 31 and announce the winners in the middle of November.
School is closed on Monday, October 20 for Diwali and we wish a happy Diwali to all celebrating.

Testing Information
Mandatory Writing Assessment for English 11 Students
All students enrolled in English 11 and English 11 DE will take the Writing WorkKeys assessment during their regular English class period on either Tuesday, October 22, or Wednesday, October 23. This is a mandatory assessment that serves as the official measure for their Verified Credit in Writing, which is required for graduation.
How parents can help: Please ensure your student attends their English class on time and arrives prepared with their fully charged school-issued Chromebook and charger. Make-up testing will not be scheduled until November.
