Good Afternoon Fox Mill Families,

We hope you had a lovely week. Our second graders worked hard to complete their NGAT this week. Next week, we will continue our testing with 3-6th graders, who were notified. We had a blast at the Fun Run and our Homecoming Walk to South Lakes High School. Thanks to all the parents who walked with us or greeted us on the sidewalks.

Our swag bags from the Fun Run will be arriving soon.

We understand that sometimes you may need to drop off items for your student. Please make sure all items are clearly labeled and that you check in with office staff before leaving.

Our team will do their best to communicate with the teacher without disrupting classroom instruction and/or deliver the items when possible. However, we cannot guarantee that items will reach students before the end of the day.

Please remind your children if they forget something to check in with the office to see if something has been delivered.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

A Few Updates

National School Lunch Week

This week is National School Lunch Week, which promotes the importance of a healthy school lunch in a child’s life and the impact it has inside and outside of the classroom. View menus for your child’s school to help you plan for the week ahead.

Did you know that families can apply for free and reduced-price meal benefits anytime during the school year?

If a family’s income changes at any point, they may become newly eligible according to federal income guidelines and can apply immediately. This includes income interruptions caused by furloughs, layoffs, or job losses. Once approved, benefits remain valid for the rest of the school year and for up to 30 school days into the following school year, even if the family’s income changes again. Read Superintendent Reid's October 1 letter regarding other resources available to families impacted by the government shutdown.
