Baccarat Rouge 540 has become synonymous with smelling expensive. A potent floral, woody, amber perfume with a powerful sillage, it’s been crowned a “rich girl” fragrance on TikTok, worn by jetsetting celebrities from pop star Olivia Rodrigo to NBA star Dwight Howard.
Its price tag was already trust fund coded (a 200 mL bottle is close to $1,000), but then its perfumer Francis Kurkdjian said hold my Moët: he recently launched a limited edition version of the fragrance that will sell for $28,000 USD a bottle.
