Dear Carolyn: I’ve lost my holiday traditions. I used to live in a big community, and we’d all come together for a giant potluck (think 200 people!) for Thanksgiving. But now the community has split apart, and after 24 years of these glorious feasts, Thanksgiving is an open slot on my calendar.
