Searching for an email for birthday party invites? Want to plan a weekend playdate? You can access our ONLINE school directory!

The Kent Gardens Family Directory is now updated and available through AtoZ Connect and Membership Toolkit.  It is searchable by name, grade, and homeroom teacher. The system is secure, easy to use, and free to families. To register and access the Kent Gardens Directory, visit the AtoZ Connect site.  Once there, you can update your family’s information and decide what information to share. And there's even an app for that! Download the Membership Toolkit mobile app in the Apple or Google Play stores to have the Kent Gardens Family Directory at your fingertips on the go! Questions? #2 Célébrez French Week Novembre 17-21

Although we celebrate French language and culture at Kent Gardens EVERY day, we are so excited for French Week November 17-21! With FUN Spirit Days and a variety of games and activities throughout the entire week we need YOUR help to make it happen!

On 11/19, we'll provide petit déjeuner for our staff! Sign up to help decorate our school or volunteer to bring in items to make this week très délicieux!

#3 Pie-palooza- Treat our KGES Staff on 11/24!

Bring in a homemade or store bought pie before school on Monday, Nov 24th, and we will randomly draw staff and teacher names to pick one out to take home!

We are also need volunteers to bring in pies from the kiss 'n' ride line and to organize them in the staff lounge.

The PTA at KGES is SUPER BUSY! We do SO much...if you like the afterschool academies, chess club, Math Counts, Bingo Night, 5k, Bread and Cider, Christmas Cookie Exchange, Book Fairs, Heritage Night, Teacher Appreciation Week and just so, so, so MUCH MORE, that's because your KGES PTA has been working hard to bring enriching experiences to our community. When you join the PTA, you help support the work we do at our school AND the advocacy work that the PTA does at all levels of the government! Membership in the KGES PTA needs to be renewed every year Join the PTA NOW!

Library Volunteers

Food Bus Volunteers- KGES's Food Rescue Program

Do you have 30 minutes to spare on a Friday afternoon? Help us make a difference by delivering rescued food to the SHARE of McLean Food Pantry at McLean Baptist Church. The KG PTA proudly supports the Food Bus program, which encourages students to place unopened, packaged food and whole fruits in a designated fridge instead of throwing them away after lunch. Each week, we collect 15–25 pounds of fresh, healthy food—saved by our students—that parent volunteers deliver to SHARE for weekend distribution to local families in need. November and December Volunteering Opportunities

November and December are busy months for Kent Gardens! Pay attention to the ROAR for ALLLL the ways that you can pitch in and make these months extra-special for our staff and students! We'll need volunteers to bring in pies, help deliver cider and breads to our classrooms, bake cookies for our staff cookie exchange, and help out with our Winter Festival parties!

Cookie Exchange
On 12/15, we're loading up the staff lounge with ALLLLL the cookies! This beloved winter tradition is one of many ways we shower our KG staff with (edible) love! The sign-up genius is coming the week AFTER Thanksgiving!

Morning Basketball with Mr. Avery for 3-6th grade!

3rd-6th graders, join Mr. Avery every Tuesday morning on the court and up your basketball game with Mr Avery’s Court Conquerors: Mastering the Game of Basketball! Players will learn advanced skills and fundamental training techniques for basketball.

Cost is $255
8-845am November 25th-January 27th (no sessions during school holidays)
Players must have at least mid level knowledge of basketball to join.

Mr. Avery is a former Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) coach and former coach at National Power Pail VI HS for a combined 14 years coaching experience. If you have any questions, or are wondering if your player would be a good fit for the sessions, email Mr. Avery.

Share of McLean Toy Drive

Share of McLean's Holiday Program kicks off in November! This year, Jack, a regular Share volunteer and McLean High School student, is leading a toy collection drive. He has created an Amazon wish list with items for kids ages 1 to 11, ranging from approximately $10 to $15. Please check out the Amazon wish list If you would like to contribute, preferably by mid-November.
