From Your Family Liaison: Kathryn Dunbar
Ask your student...This month, Haycock is encouraging acts of kindness in conjunction with National Kindness Day, which is Thursday, November 13. Students have been given "kindness challenges" throughout the month! Ask your student to explain them to you, and come up with some new ones!

VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION UPDATE
Many of you had questions regarding an email received from FCPS' Samaritan Volunteer Registration System last week. The District has temporarily paused fingerprinting for most Level 3 volunteers. This is because they had more than 25,000 people who signed up!! If you have a pending appointment to be fingerprinted, please cancel it.
For the near future, chaperoning a field trip only requires a Level 2 registration.
All volunteers at Haycock must still register with the Samaritan system to be placed with volunteer opportunities.

ONE LAST REMINDER!
Donate gently used puzzles, games and Lego until 11/19
Haycock's SCA in conjunction with Pieces of Illumination is collecting these items for pediatric therapy centers and senior citizen centers. POI volunteers also visit these centers to work on puzzles & play games together, listen to their stories, and perform music and dance.
Check out their website: https://www.poi4community.org/
A collection box will be in Haycock's front hall until Weds, November 19
