Dear Fairhill Families,
We’ve had a great start to Quarter 2 here at Fairhill!. The crisp, chilly weather this week has brought with it the feeling of fall in full swing. This past Friday, we were honored to host our annual Veterans Breakfast to celebrate and thank the incredible Veterans in our Fairhill community. A huge thank you to all of our families and staff who joined us and helped make the event such a success — we are so appreciative of your time, effort, and spirit!
We look forward to keeping the momentum going as we move further into Quarter 2 — continuing to learn, grow, and celebrate all that makes Fairhill such a special place.

15th ANNUAL FAIRHILL PUMPKIN PIE RUN
The Pumpkin Pie Run is back!
Mark your calendar for Nov. 22nd at 9am. There will be a 3k run open to all 3rd - 6th graders, a 1k run open to all 1st - 6th graders, and a 600-yard fun run open to kinders only. Parents are welcome to run with their students. Don’t miss this GREAT FAIRHILL event! Click HERE to register for the event

Technology at Home
This year, students have the option to take their school laptops home. If your child chooses to do so, they’ll need to bring it back to school each day, fully charged and ready for learning.
If you’d like your child to begin taking their laptop home, please send a message to your child’s teacher, and we’ll help facilitate the process.

Attention FCPS Families!
The Federal Impact Aid Survey is now available in paper.
Please look in your child’s Tuesday Folder today for the paper copy. PLEASE COMPLETE ONE FORM FOR EACH CHILD IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD. AND RETURN THE COMPLETED FORM TO SCHOOL TOMORROW.
The Federal Impact Aid program provides money to districts that enroll federally connected students. Help FCPS secure funding from the Impact Aid Program by helping us identify:
- Military families.
- Federally connected families.
- Families living on a military base.
Please complete the form even if you are not military or federally connected. Please complete one form for each child in your household. Remember that only the parent that registered the student with FCPS (the ‘enrolling parent’) can fill out the Impact Aid Survey form online, but either parent can fill out the Impact Aid Survey paper copy.
Your support will ensure that we receive the resources for which we are eligible.
If you have multiple children in Fairfax County Public Schools, please fill out a form for each child. You will know you have completed all of the forms when you get to the final page, and see a green check next to each of their names.
We need your help to make the 25-26 yearbook the best it can be! When you take photos at Fairhill events, please upload your candid photos to the yearbook’s photo albums: https://plicbooks.com/go/L4WV4P . There is a dropdown menu to choose from, from grade levels to special events!

Fairhill Elementary’s Yearbook, “Etched in Stone” is now on sale! Cost is $20, and must be made online at Strawbridge Yearbooks.
No extra copies will be ordered, so secure your child’s memories today! Deadline to place an order is March 20th!
