Dear Mighty Red Bird Families, 

This week, we were honored to welcome veterans from our Cardinal Forest community who joined us on Monday to read to classrooms and share their stories of service. Our students loved hearing from these real-life heroes, and we are deeply thankful for the time, dedication, and courage of all those who have served our country. To all the veterans in our school community—thank you for your service and sacrifice.

We are celebrating Gratitude Month all November at CFES. November is the perfect time to pause and reflect on all that we are thankful for: our students’ curiosity and kindness, our teachers’ unwavering dedication, and our families’ partnership and support. Together, we continue to build a school community rooted in appreciation, connection, and joy.

A few reminders as we move through this month of thanks:

• Impact Aid Forms: Please take a few moments to complete the Impact Aid form if you haven’t already. These forms are important for ensuring our school receives the federal funding it deserves.

• Thanksgiving Luncheon: We can’t wait to gather as a school community to share in this beloved tradition! Details about times, tickets, and logistics can be found in the newsletter below.
