A Message from Principal Ritter

Dear Kings Glen Families –

Over the next couple of weeks, we are highlighting Gratitude at Kings Glen.  Gratitude involves recognizing and appreciating the good in our lives and the people around us. Gratitude is more than saying “thank you”; it’s a mindset that helps everyone see the world through a lens of appreciation, even when things are challenging. Research continues to show that gratitude has powerful effects on our well-being – from improving sleep and boosting optimism to strengthening relationships. Regularly reflecting on what we are thankful for activates brain regions linked to empathy and connection, reinforcing why gratitude is such an essential strength for healthy relationships. Finding gratitude does not have to be complicated; take a moment to weave moments of appreciation into daily routines both at home and school.

Positivity Project

Positivity Project at Kings Glen

Kings Glen is partnering with The Positivity Project (P2) to empower students to build positive relationships and become their best selves. During our classroom Morning Meetings, short videos, class discussions and activities focus on one of the 24 character strengths that are the foundation of Positive Psychology. Gators explore their strengths and how to have positive relationships. P2 also offers short lessons for families at home.
