Countdown to Turkey Trot!
We are just one week away from our highly anticipated Turkey Trot and Thanksgiving Lunch! The excitement is building as we prepare for a fantastic event filled with fun, community spirit, and giving back.
Fundraising Progress
- Goal: $10,000
- Current Funds Raised: Just over 20% of our goal
- Challenge: Can we reach 50% of our goal before race day?
When we reach $5,000, the whole school will earn a Wacky Hair Day celebration! There is still time to get involved—sign up, start collecting donations, and help us make this event a huge success.
Classroom Competitions & Incentives
- The class that raises the most money will win a pizza party.
- There is a special prize for the class with the most students registered (registration is open to all students, and you do not need to collect donations to participate).
- Classes in grades K-2 and 3-6 that run the most laps will be rewarded with extra recess time.

Spirit Week & Compliment Competition
Next week, we will be celebrating a special Thankful Spirit Week. In addition, there will be a competition for compliments: the class that receives the most compliments during Turkey Trot week will enjoy a pie party with Principal Duffy!
Reflections submissions are due Friday Nov 21!
 The Bush Hill PTA is excited to collaborate once again with the Virginia and National PTA for the annual Reflections program. This year’s theme is “I Belong” for the 2025-2026 school year.
Great news! We’ve extended the student submission deadline to Friday, November 21, so there’s still time to participate. To enter, students should complete the entry form (including an artist statement) and submit both the form and their artwork electronically to the PTA Dropbox.

Let Me Run 5K!
 Congratulations to our Bush Hill Let Me Run Team! They’ll be wrapping up their fantastic season by participating in a 5K on Saturday, 11/16. We’re proud of their hard work and dedication—good luck, runners!
