The Recommendation

“Call me Captain Kirk because I’ve got all the menswear Kirkland has to offer”

It’s possible to build an entire men’s basic wardrobe out of clothes exclusively from Costco’s house brand, Kirkland Signature. We’re talking everything from shoes, to underwear, to outerwear.

But are Costco’s so-called premium clothes (see: this Lulelemon dupe) at reasonable prices too good to be true? To find out, writer Alexander Aciman put every single piece from Kirkland Signature’s menswear line to the test — dashing to the grocery store in cotton pants, standing under a showerhead in a waterproof jacket, and even ripping some clothes apart.

Plus: The Costco dupe for this rolling tote bag might be better than the real thing

The Hulken Original Rolling Tote Bag has been dominating trendy city sidewalks since it arrived on the scene years ago. It can make lugging 20-pound bags of litter, hauling groceries, and stowing luggage overflow on road trips a breeze. And it’s much more stylish than a standard metal shopping cart. The one downside? It’s $110. So when writer Maki Yazawa saw this Costco dupe, which clocks in at half the price and looks uncannily similar, she pit them against each other in head-to-head tests.
