A homebuyer will receive a Rs 1.28 crore refund with interest from a builder. MahaRERA ordered the payment after the project failed to get an Occupation Certificate for over six years. Construction delays led to the landowner revoking the builder's rights. The authority ruled in favor of the homebuyer, ensuring their investment is returned with compensation for the prolonged wait.
A Mumbai homebuyer will pay Rs 13 lakh net interest to a builder after deduction of his interest payment from the builder. The builder must pay about Rs 31 lakh interest for delayed possession. MahaRERA ordered both parties to pay interest for their respective delays. The homebuyer appealed this decision.
