Skies brighten quickly today as dry air moves in, but noticeably blustery with wind gusts up to 30 to 40 miles per hour this afternoon. Protesters call for transparency about Hopkinton pizza shop owner not on sex offender registry |
|
|
A group made their voices heard Saturday, demanding transparency from town leaders and the police chief in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, where a convicted sex offender operated a pizza shop and continued to get a business license in town for years, despite a number of red flags. Saturday’s protest comes after the NBC10 Boston Investigators reviewed years of court and town records, uncovering a troubling pattern of behavior in Hopkinton. Residents had reacted strongly last week to our NBC10 “Small Town Secrets” investigation, and on Saturday protesters held signs reading, “We want accountability” and “Demand the truth.” All of this is in reference to Petros “Peter” Sismanis, who was the operator of “Hillers” — a popular pizza shop in town. He was convicted last summer of assaulting a young female employee back in 2023 and served some time in jail. |
