Man injured on K'gari: A man was flown to hospital following a motorbike crash on K'gari last weekend. It is believed the motorbike rider was part of a group when he hit a log on a track and crashed just after midday on Saturday. A Bundaberg LifeFlight helicopter crew travelled to the island and landed in a paddock near the scene. The critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service flight paramedic worked with local paramedics to treat the patient for wrist fractures. The man, in his 40s, was flown to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
