Rangeway wins: Rangeway Primary School in Geraldton has been crowned as one of the top performers at the 2025 WA Education Awards on Monday night. The school won the Excellence in Wellbeing and Learning award. Principal Karin van Dongen says it is a recognition of contributions to the school environment from staff, students and families, and is a proud moment for the whole school community.

Meth arrests: Geraldton detectives have charged three men after seizing a trafficable quantity of methylamphetamine over the weekend. Police allege they discovered more than 200 grams of meth, a homemade firearm and ammunition after searching a vehicle in Tarcoola Beach on Saturday. Police have charged two men with possessing a trafficable quantity of methylamphetamine with intent to sell or supply and charged a third man with unlawfully possessing a prohibited firearm.
Blood donation: The Australian Red Cross says its pop-up blood donation service in Geraldton has helped more than 2,000 people since returning to the Midwest city a year ago. The organisation's Lifeblood service operates for a week at a time when it visits Geraldton, and in the last 12 months has received 823 donations. Lifeblood's pop-up donor centre also visits Kalgoorlie and Busselton.
