Woman allegedly steals from murdered man: A woman has faced court accused of stealing thousands of dollars in cash and a motorbike belonging to a man who was allegedly murdered. Court documents reveal Bega woman Eboni Lloyd allegedly broke into a room at the Bega Motel on October 6. Prosecutors say the motel room belonged to Gordon Kessey, who had died just hours before. Police allege that during the break in Ms Lloyd stole $11,500 in cash and a motorbike belonging to Mr Kessey. The 24-year-old woman faced Bega Local Court on November 11 charged with three offences including break and enter. She was granted bail and will face court again in Bega next week.
Conservationists push to save endangered glider: Activists are calling for a halt to a logging operation in the Currowan State Forest near Batemans Bay to help save the endangered greater glider population. On Friday 25 environmental activists were moved on by police after they laid in front of logging machines, stopping work for around 90 minutes.
